The colourful and eco-friendly seed balls packaging
This colourful packaging for Bri de Palla was designed by the Spanish designer Núria Vila. It’s designed with a simple and ingenious method to wrap the product and also to make it extraordindarily visible. It was created to produce as less paper residues as possible, using only one ink on coloured paper. The packaging is 100% recyclable, since it’s made of paper with scotch which comes from seaweed waste.
The occurrent sentences ‘All of these was a field before’ or ‘Take a walk on the green side’ encourages the customer to think about where the packaging comes from and where it will go next once it’s in their hands.
The company Bri de Palla produce and comercialise corporate gifts that have a positive impact on the environment as well as on society. As a social enterprise they employ people with with social exclusion and want to educate the citizenship by bringing plants and nature to our everyday life. They’re a real example of circular consumption since they use waste to produce products and to avoid more waste to be created.
This is a real example of a perfect synchronization bewteeen the product and the design, as well as the company’s vision. And it’s a great inspiration in all senses to me. I hope it’s a good one for you too!
